Fuel-neutral expertise to advance affordable and efficient clean transportation solutions across Ohio
Clean Fuels Ohio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, promotes the use of cleaner alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies in Ohio and beyond. We connect fleets, policymakers, businesses and consumers with unbiased resources and practical solutions to reduce emissions, save money, strengthen energy security, and grow Ohio’s economy through cost-effective clean transportation solutions.
Transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. In Ohio, the vehicles on our roads contribute significantly to air pollution, impacting public health and our environment. At the same time, fluctuating fuel costs and dependence on imported petroleum create economic uncertainty for businesses and families alike.
Clean transportation solutions offer an alternative path forward: reducing emissions, improving air quality, saving money on fuel and maintenance, and supporting Ohio’s economic prosperity. From electricity to hydrogen, propane, biofuels, natural gas and renewables, alternative fuels provide practical options that meet the needs of today’s fleets and consumers alike.
Clean Fuels Ohio advocates for a future where affordable, reliable, and environmentally beneficial transportation fuels and technologies strengthen Ohio’s economy, improve air quality and health, and create efficient mobility options for all.
We provide unbiased information and training to fleets, policymakers, community organizations, and consumers.
At the local, state, and federal levels, we work to advance policies that make clean transportation solutions more accessible, affordable, and practical.
We bring together businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, and community partners to share knowledge, identify opportunities, and develop collective solutions.
We provide hands-on assistance to fleets and organizations through fee-based services and customized technical guidance.
We take a collaborative, bipartisan approach that focuses on facts, connects stakeholders, and helps fleets achieve their clean transportation goals.
Over the past two decades, we have brought millions of dollars in state and federal grants to Ohio communities, supported hundreds of fleets in transitioning to cleaner fuels, established Drive Electric Ohio as a statewide initiative, and built a network of industry partners, policymakers, and community leaders working together to advance clean transportation across Ohio.
