Clayco and LJC were selected as the design-build team for this warehouse.

Developed by Hunt Midwest, this 1,500,000-square-foot distribution center is in Kansas City, Missouri. This distribution center is a fully integrated effort, including Clayco, Concrete Strategies, Consolidated Distribution Company (CDC), and LJC.

This large facility is set to leverage advanced storage automation and solar energy to boost Ace Hardware’s distribution network throughout the U.S. It will include rooftop solar panels and EV charging stations, reflecting a commitment to eco-friendly practices. LJC is working closely with Ace Hardware’s engineering team to fine-tune their prototype Retail Support Center design, which will be rolled out nationwide to enhance its distribution capabilities. Expected to be operational this year, the center aims to generate roughly 400 jobs in Kansas City. Since its establishment in 1924, Ace Hardware has grown to operate over 5,000 stores globally.
