Acne Scar Treatment – How to Get Rid of Acne Scars

Posted on 8월 28, 2024 by Jerry Reyes

Acne is a condition that occurs when your pores clog with dead skin cells, excess oil and bacteria. Sometimes these blemishes become inflamed and irritate the surrounding skin tissue, which can cause the red or purple marks that are known as acne scars. Acne scar treatment depends on the type of acne scar you have. Some treatments remove the scars while others stimulate your body’s natural healing process to help them fade. Acne scars are most common on the face but can occur on the neck, chest and shoulders. The good news is that most of the time, the scars heal on their own with time. However, if you have a deep or pitted scar, you may need to seek treatment from a dermatologist.

In some cases, the discoloration left after an acne blemish clears isn’t actually a scar and will fade on its own over a few months. The most serious types of scarring that require treatment are rolling, boxcar and ice pick acne scars, all of which form indentions on the skin.

Minor surgery can diminish the appearance of noticeable acne scars. With a technique called dermal fillers, your dermatologist injects a substance under the scar that lifts the skin and minimizes its appearance. Another option is a chemical peel, where your doctor applies a strong chemical solution to the skin and then removes it with a scraper. You may need repeat peels for best results.흉터치료

Laser resurfacing is an option that uses light energy to improve the look of some kinds of acne scars. Your dermatologist can use ablative or non-ablative lasers to achieve the best result. The type of laser treatment used will depend on the nature and location of your scars, your skin type and tolerance for risk.

Other acne scar treatments involve resurfacing the skin to reduce hyperpigmentation and stimulate collagen to treat textural scars. For example, your dermatologist might perform a microneedling session in which they roll a needle-studded device over the skin to create small injuries that encourage your body to produce new collagen and smooth scars. Other treatments might include a steroid injection into a raised scar to soften the fibrous tissue and flatten the scar, or a surgical excision in which your dermatologist surgically removes the scar and stitches the wound closed.여드름흉터치료

Staging combination therapy is an important consideration when deciding what treatments to choose for your acne scars. Your dermatologist will consider the size and severity of your acne scars, the anatomical location of the scar, its etiology and previous treatments, and your tolerance for pain and risks when designing your treatment program. In general, your dermatologist will start with the least invasive approach to treatment and work their way up in terms of intensity. This will help you achieve your cosmetic goals while limiting the number of procedures and time in which you have to be treated. It is also a good idea to discuss your expectations for treatment with your dermatologist to manage any expectations that might be unrealistic.
