The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience (THHOE) has pioneered a new genre of music merging two seemingly irreconcilable traditions—hip-hop and classical music—into something radical yet organic. Founded by composer JooWan Kim, THHOE began with an idea: make hip-hop using only classical techniques and instruments. The result is a category creating group that has garnered praise from concert goers and outlets like BBC, ABC, FOX, PBS, Wall Street Journal, ESPN and more.

The Piano: Hook, Line & Tinker is a large-scale, immersive, and interactive sonic installation. Its centrepiece features an entire acoustic piano in exploded-view form – aerially suspended – requiring precise positioning of its inside action components, spilling out as a freeze-frame hand-crafted soundwave. Conceived, designed and created by Rae Howell (Sunwrae), this multisensory experience is “visually striking and conceptually fascinating in equal measure”.

La Traviata 2026 transforms Verdi’s opera into a site-specific performance across six residential buildings in Zhelezara. The core idea is turning the neighbourhood itself into the main stage and the neighbours into active storytellers. Scenes unfold across six buildings, from balconies to apartments, mixing opera with real daily life. The project creates a powerful shared experience where the community drives the narrative.

What if the concert format was designed for Deaf as well as hearing people?
Nwando Ebizie invites you into a multisensory immersive playground where accessibility drives innovation. Sign Language poetry becomes visual music, experimental dance meets extended technique, audiences become participants in a group waltz, and the entire space vibrates—creating a full-body haptic journey through dream and archetype.

Hildegard Transfigured is a collaborative piece of concert-theatre by vocal trio Voice and visual artist Innerstrings that shines a light on the 12th Century polymath St. Hildegard of Bingen and her capacity to love, mourn, wield ferocity, and the visions which consumed her both physically and spiritually throughout her life, ‘the living light’.

Interlude’s stimulating concert environments include narration, education and story-telling. Earthrise is a ‘Contemporary Renaissance Music Theatre’ performance born from the collaboration between the Finnish Baroque Orchestra and the international new music theatre collective La Chambre aux échos. After its successful premiere on the Finnish National Opera’s small stage in 2024, this multilingual musical drama is now available on tour.

EMPOWER: Women Changing Music is a United Kingdom-based initiative transforming gender equity in classical music through commissioning, performance, advocacy and community. Founded in 2021, EMPOWER has delivered large-scale live events across the United Kingdom and Ireland, premiered 35+ new works by women composers, and supported 300+ performers on major stages. This pitch shares EMPOWER’s mission and a scalable model for creating sustainable pathways for emerging artists.

MEDUSA is a theatrical concert for singing cellist and electronics, unfolding a story of trauma, survival, and empowerment. Through the hidden story of Medusa’s abuse, composer Saskia Venegas sheds light on the psychological impact of PTSD on its victims. Structured in four attacca movements, this immersive narration raises awareness, invites society to dare to listen, and ends with a gesture of ascension and strength.

Award-winning composer-pianist and former Shazam developer Charlie Hooper-Williams introduces a real-time visual system he built to interpret live piano performance. The visuals are handcrafted, responsive to musical detail, and use no AI or automated composition. Tour-ready and adaptable to varied lighting setups, the system opens new possibilities for presenters, ensembles and cross-disciplinary collaborators.

Ensemble Fractales creates experimental performances at the crossroads of music, space, and theatre. Upcoming projects include Idle Dancers by Sarah Wéry, where musicians and vibrating stools form a shared choreography, […scapes] by Maurizio Azzan, a spatial reimagining of the madrigale rappresentativo, F#2 by Pierre Slinckx exploring the Casio keyboard, and La Voix du Trait by Oren Boneh, featuring an energetic work that playfully reinterprets Schumann through a contemporary lens.

Star Sound is MIKAMO’s 21st-century reimagining of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Sternklang (1971). Adapting the cosmic “park music” for outdoor spaces or multi-room venues, musicians, singers, and dancers are placed throughout the site, inviting audiences to move freely and experience shifting sonic perspectives. Led by Artistic Director Ajtony Csaba, the project is modular, site-specific, and can integrate local ensembles while preserving Stockhausen’s visionary concept.

Synesthetic Project is a Vienna-based interdisciplinary music-theatre ensemble led by Nika Bauman. Uniting musicians, dancers, animators, and videographers, it blends music, movement, and visual art to explore diversity, empathy, and communication. Each performance forms a boundary-free space where artists and audiences connect, celebrate variety, and see their stories reimagined through one another’s eyes.

Interdisciplinary performances are experiencing a renaissance driven by curiosity for innovation and the freedom of crossing artistic borders. Yet interdisciplinarity also demands balance and coherence. Classical pianist and artistic director Róza Radnóti explores these questions through projects combining music, visuality and movement. In her pitch, she presents a scenic performance based on Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, integrating contemporary dance, video art and stage lighting.

LuciaVR is an immersive opera experience that places audiences inside Lucia’s inner world, blending live performance, VR and spatial sound. Developed by Leila Alexander, Toby Young and Radical Realities, it reimagines the “mad scene” as a feminist response, and explores new forms of cutting-edge storytelling in opera.

Stories of Water and Earth features Yuwaalaraay woman Nardi Simpson and Djapa woman Melanie Mununggurr as front women, weaving together instrumental chamber music, spoken word and dreaming stories.

Global Music Ensemble brings together 11 remarkable musicians, a fusion of the Belgian bands MOTYK and TROISSOEUR, along with soloists Tsubasa Hori, Osama Abdulrasol, Simon Leleux, and Jeroen Goossens. Inspired by acoustic traditions from all around the world, the repertoire of the Global Music Ensemble consists of original compositions, exploring the most diverse combination of sounds, textures and influences, going beyond all the stylistic and geographical borders.

“Falling into Dreams” is an excerpt from A Young Wife’s Dream, a classic piece of Chinese opera. The play tells the story of a young man named Wang Hui, who is forced to join the army shortly after marrying Zhang.

This internationally awarded interdisciplinary production blends sound, imagery, music, and movement, inspired by Paul Chiang’s works—Notre Dame de Paris, The Hundred Year Temple, Pisilian, Silver Lake, and his sculptures. Exploring humanity, spirituality, and nature, it guides audiences on a radiant journey, incorporating Taiwan’s Indigenous voices and showcasing the vitality and diversity of Taiwan’s creative spirit.
