Project Pitch
The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience (THHOE) has pioneered a new genre of music merging two seemingly irreconcilable traditions—hip-hop and classical music—into something radical yet organic. Founded by composer JooWan Kim, THHOE began with an idea: make hip-hop using only classical techniques and instruments. The result is a category creating group that has garnered praise from concert goers and outlets like BBC, ABC, FOX, PBS, Wall Street Journal, ESPN and more.

Project Pitch
The Piano: Hook, Line & Tinker is a large-scale, immersive, and interactive sonic installation. Its centrepiece features an entire acoustic piano in exploded-view form – aerially suspended – requiring precise positioning of its inside action components, spilling out as a freeze-frame hand-crafted soundwave. Conceived, designed and created by Rae Howell (Sunwrae), this multisensory experience is “visually striking and conceptually fascinating in equal measure”.

Immersive performance of Stockhausen’s Sternklang
Star Sound is MIKAMO’s 21st-century reimagining of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Sternklang (1971). Adapting the cosmic “park music” for outdoor spaces or multi-room venues, musicians, singers, and dancers are placed throughout the site, inviting audiences to move freely and experience shifting sonic perspectives. Led by Artistic Director Ajtony Csaba, the project is modular, site-specific, and can integrate local ensembles while preserving Stockhausen’s visionary concept.
