Refunds made to expired payment cards

< All Topics

Stripe takes care of all required refunds. All refunds must be made to the same card which made the payment. If the card you originally paid with is no longer valid (lost, stolen, expired etc.), your bank will usually redirect the refund to your new or replacement card. If you don’t have a new card, the bank will send the refund directly to your bank account.

If neither of those options are available, the bank will return the money to Stripe, who will contact you via email for further action.

If you need any further help with this, please contact Stripe directly here.
