Awards and Recognition

Poutine and Prozac the cats sit near a certificate of excellence award from the Cat Writers' Association that is awarded to Joey from Class Act Cats

Joey is very proud to be a recipient of a certificate of excellence and Muse medallion from the Cat Writers’ Association. Class Act Cats was awarded it for the blog/website category. Our (award winning) blog is a huge project and each post takes a lot of work so having it recognized this is a big deal!

That said, Poutine and Prozac insist that they should have also been credited for the award as they contribute to our blog. I guess you could say stepping on the keyboard as Joey is writing is kind of a contribution…

Pioneer Pet Behavioral Training Special Award

In addition to our whole blog winning awards, Joey’s article on preventing cats from stealing food from other cats won a special award, the 2025  Pioneer Pet Behavioral Training Award. This award goes to an article that helps cat parents building their relationship with their cat and solve behavior concerns they may have. It’s a huge honor!
