Student Matinees

2026-27 SEASON STUDENT MATINEES

Bring your students to a special weekday performance of a mainstage production performed in Moe and Jack’s Place – The Rouse Theatre.

Groups are invited to submit a ticket request form to attend our student matinee performances. Once your request is submitted, our team will review availability and will notify you within ten business days to let you know whether your request has been approved. While submitting a request does not guarantee tickets, we make every effort to accommodate as many schools as possible. We encourage educators to submit their requests promptly and to reach out with any questions as they plan their visit.

Student Matinee Registration Information

Student matinees begin at 10:15 a.m.
Tickets are $15 each. For every 15 paid student tickets, we provide one complimentary ticket.
Each group may request up to 150 tickets for each production. Your requested ticket count should include every person you expect will attend the show including students, teachers, chaperones and bus drivers (if applicable). You may also have the opportunity to request additional tickets later in the process, based on availability and demand.
We ask that students be adequately chaperoned. School groups should have at least one chaperone per 15 students. Homeschool groups should have at least one adult per homeschool household.
A $15 processing fee will be added to each order.

Enhance Your Students’ Theatre Experience

Pre‑show workshops prepare students for matinee performances by introducing key themes, characters, and context from the play. Post‑show workshops invite students to reflect on what they’ve seen through guided discussion and creative activities that deepen understanding and connection. Each workshop is a single 50-minute session and can be booked individually or paired together for a fuller experience.

Pre‑show workshops take place at your school prior to the performance.

Post‑show workshops may be held at your school or at the theatre immediately following the performance, based on availability.

Celebrate Cincinnati’s King Records in the return of the hit musical that traces the groundbreaking rise of music pioneer Syd Nathan and the artists he produced. Based on interviews, the show chronicles behind-the-scenes tales of King Records hits including “The Twist,” “Blues Stay Away From Me,” “Fever” and “Need Your Love So Bad.” Cincinnati King shines the spotlight on the Queen City’s music roots.
