I'd hoped to have used the lockdowns for dealing with some of my WiPs, fanfic and not, but that didn't happen. If anything, it was the reverse. Oh, well... I now have all my completed fanfics up on AO3 [mainly The Professionals, and Highlander: The Series, and I did get a lot of quilting and reading done, though. Anyhow, the latest quiltlet is finished and in its new home, and I have an unfinished Duncan/Methos long fic to work on, as well as some non-fanfic WiPs. I've had my two jabs, and soon I can enter my favourite coffee bar after morning perambulations. All I have to do now is kick my writerly brain cell into gear and get it functioning.

I've recently edited and uploaded two of my ancient Professionals fanfics to my AO3 account. My Pros fics were written waaaay back in the early 1980s. Of Tethered Goats and Tigers is a case fic, Endgame is a dark deaths fic with no happy ending. The other titles will have to wait a bit before I can upload them, as I'd rejigged them and sent them off to an indie publisher. I get the rights back at the end of October of this year, so I'll start the edit/upload after that.

Thanks to a few emails out of the blue, I've recently edited some of my old Highlander fics and put them up on Archive of Our Own. They include Phoenix Fire, the first in my Ignifer series, and some of the short stories. Not all, because others have been reconfigured to remove all Highlander content and published as original fic. Bale Fire, the second Ignifer, was stalled way back in 2006, but if I can, I'll go back to it with a view to complete it.

Originally, these were written under my old fannish days — sidhe_woman, and occasionally Chris. Now they're up there under my writing name. I hope people will still enjoy these stories. Duncan and Methos are right up there among my few favourite OTPs.

I haven't had a LiveJournal for years, not since I deleted my sidhe_woman account. It's funny how things go round and come round. Thanks partly to the current insanity on both sides of the Pond, plus the pandemic, and an email out of the blue about an old fanfic I wrote a hell of a long time ago, I've returned to one of my favourite OTPs and done a major edit on some of them. Now they are up on Archive of Our Own under this name rather than my old Highlander fanfic name of sidhe_woman [or sometimes Chris].
