2 hours on hold between both B and me, and I was shuffled between 3 departments before I was told that their technician had our correct address and would be out here by 6 pm tonight. We were trying to correct the address that was wrong in the appointment notification app, which had our apartment as 208F instead of F208 and the correct city with the wrong state, but no one at AT&T would let us do that; instead, we were transferred around and patted on the head. Now, I’m willing to believe they’re liars. Still. It’s only 2:45 pm, so we have only 3 hours and 15 minutes more to wait.
Hi! B and I are slowly settling in here at our new place in the Midwest. One of the things that has turned out to be very hard to get is Internet service. That is why B and I are at our wits end with AT&T. They promised us a very easy transition that has turned out to be a nightmare. They keep sending the technicians to our old address 1700 miles away to troubleshoot our modem. My husband has changed our address 5 times with them now, as of today, and a technician is due tomorrow morning. If one doesn’t come, we will try the local cable tv provider. We are skeptical that anyone will appear. Meanwhile, B is unpacking magnificently and I am breaking down. I hate this.
cheerfulThis coming Thursday is my dear friend <lj user="amedia">'s birthday. I love you and I wish you all of the very best on your special day.

Wesnesday morning, I will have cataract surgery on my left eye. The cataract in my right eye isn't ready to be removed yet. When removing them from both eyes, surgeons do them about 2 weeks apart, or a little more or less, but I'll have to wait longer than that.
Wish me luck!
