The plugin aims to provide a quick and easy way to store googlemaps on your blog. By storing maps, requests to google map api are kept minimum and the possibility of not having a map show up on your page if google service is interrupted is reduced. Shortcodes are provided in the editor to make including a map you have created even easier.
Planned extensions will include editable notes for map flags and ajax to make creating a map more intuitive and support for the javascript and google earth apis.
