GA Tracking Code connects your WordPress website with Google Analytics.
It adds the tracking script using the official installation method of Google Analytics,
as described in the Instructions for Manual Tag Installation.
This means it doesn’t weigh down the system and requires only a few lines of code.
Adding a Google Analytics tracking code is very simple as all you need to do is
enter your ‘Tracking ID’ in the plugin settings.
It is super easy and effective at the same time.

From within WordPress

  1. Visit ‘Plugins > Add New’
  2. Search for ‘GA Tracking Code’
  3. Activate GA Tracking Code from your Plugins page.
  4. Go to “after activation” below.

Manually

  1. Upload the ga-tracking-code folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the GA Tracking Code plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Go to “after activation” below.

After activation

  1. Go to GA Tracking Code (main menu in Left side) > General Settings
  2. Enter your tracking ID, and then click Save
  3. You’re done!
