I have been using a much older version of ChinaScribe for about ten years. It is an awesome program. I use it mostly to convert Chinese text (traditional or simplified) to Pinyin, or Pinyin with English definitions posted above. (It can produce Pinyin only, characters and Pinyin, characters Pinyin and English, and possibly other combinations I haven't explored. It also allows me to type in Pinyin). I find it an invaluable tool for learning Chinese, for understanding documents I receive that are in Chinese (I know Google Translate does this, but ChinaScribe allows me to learn the characters, and pronunciation at the same time). I also use it to prepare presentations in Chinese. I recently updated to a Mac, and run ChinaScribe on an older version of Word on Parallels. (The only reason I run the older version of Word on Parallels is to use this program). I am currently searching for a Mac version of this program.
