Staying safe as a visitor
Most people on Chickslover are genuine — but scammers exist anywhere money is involved. These tips help you spot them early, and the form below lets you report anyone who tries it on.
How to spot a scam
"Pay a deposit first"
The classic scam. Anyone asking for an advance payment, booking fee, GPay/UPI deposit, or gift card before meeting is a fraud. Genuine people are paid in person.
Fake profiles & catfishing
Watch for model-perfect photos, prices that seem too good, or someone who won't do a quick video call. Prefer verified profiles and confirm before you go.
Blackmail & extortion
Never send explicit photos or personal documents. Scammers use them to demand money. If you're being threatened, stop contact and report it.
Off-platform tricks
Be wary if someone rushes you to a sketchy "verification" website or app that asks for card details. That's a data-harvesting scam, not a safety check.
Meet safely
- Verify first. A short video call confirms the person matches their photos.
- Tell someone. Share where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Meet on neutral ground where you feel comfortable, and trust your gut — you can always leave.
- Pay in person, never in advance. No exceptions.
