And even if you don't, then do something nice for someone else: - let the woman with the tired child trying to buy batteries at the Black Friday sale in front of you in line. - point to where you're parked so that next person can take your space when you leave. - let your roommate have that last slice of pumpkin pie from yesterday. - be patient with the clerk at the register, the tech at the cable/internet company... and with yourself and your laptop or cell phone. They're little things, but they add up to a big difference.

For text message spam sent via e-mail, an iPhone option vs. e-mail spam is http://mymessages.wireless.att.com/ NOTE: This will disable things like text messages from friends through LJ or FB, but there are ways to make aliases if you're really that addicted. And in case that doesn't work and they're still bugging you, this is why texting STOP to 313-131 or other spammers works: http://www.eztexting.com/sms-faq.html under the section "Q: Are there rules for how I can promote my Keyword online or in print?" It's a standard cell phone carrier clause as well as an FCC regulation that opt out instructions be sent, but it's only required in the first message. (Read the first message carefully, it may be in text-speak like "2end STOP") http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/canspam.html Good luck, and good night.

Snagged some of the strawberries from the fridge this morning and stuck them in the same bag with the baby carrots. Guess what the carrots taste like now. Also... NOT the tabby next door. (He was really trying to give me a profile shot last night but I spent too long futzing with the iPhone.)
