With the CheckID app from DigiD you can help someone add the ID check to his or her DigiD app. The app on your phone only performs the one-time check of the ID. Your own DigiD login details are not required for this. No data is stored on your phone. More information at: https://www.digid.nl/inlogmethods/id-check DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY With DigiD's CheckID app you can perform a one-off check of an identity document for someone else. The check is carried out by reading the chip on the Dutch driver's license or identity document using the NFC reader on your device. The CheckID app reads the document number, validity and date of birth of an identity card, or the driving license number of a driving license. This data is sent via a secure connection to the DigiD app for which the ID check is carried out. The CheckID app does not process any data from the device on which it is installed for this check.
