Background of HACARUS Check Implementation
Asahi Kosei Co., Ltd. had previously attempted to automate inspection in order to address labor shortages and prevent defective products from being shipped. However, challenges remained—such as the lack of transparency in AI judgment—and achieving inspection accuracy close to human visual inspection was considered an ongoing challenge. Recognizing the strength of our AI in die-cast surface inspection, they approached us with hopes of overcoming these issues.
Implementation Results
The inspection process, which previously required six inspectors, can now be operated with just two. In addition, human error has been eliminated, resulting in more consistent product quality. Discussions have already begun regarding implementation in other projects.
