COMPLETELY DISREGARD THIS POST - IT IS FOR A FRIEND TO SEE WHO DOES NOT HAVE A LIVEJOURNAL
“David! Get in here!”
Jeremy’s voice was loud and booming as it echoed through the previously silent house. David shivered as a chill passed up his spine, and a meek whimper escaped from the back of his throat. His trembling intensified as he opened the bedroom door and wandered out into the living room, holding both of his arms behind his back - one of his many nervous ticks.
“Y-Yes Jeremy?” he spoke finally, his voice soft and weak in comparison to Jeremy’s steady, confident voice. The older man glared at David from his seat on the couch and beckoned the boy over with his index finger.
“Look at me, you worthless rat!” Jeremy demanded, quickly standing to his feet and causing David to gasp in shock, covering his face immediately with his arms. Jeremy growled and stormed over to the shaking man, pulling his arms away from his face and pushing David up against the wall. “I said look at me!”
Not wanting to cause more trouble, David wearily glanced up at his boyfriend, seeing nothing but pure rage in his dark brown eyes. “S-sorry, Jeremy. I-I didn’t mean…” David’s apology was cut short as Jeremy punched him across his cheek at full force, and David instantly fell to the ground, nursing his cheek carefully.
“Don’t even talk to me, you little fuck! First you refuse to vacuum the living room, which I deliberately mentioned to you quite a few times, and then you choose to further defy my orders directly to my face! You’ll be lucky if you’re still breathing by the end of tonight!”
Without letting David respond, Jeremy hoisted the trembling boy up by his collar, dragging him into the bedroom and throwing him rather harshly to the ground. David groaned lightly in pain, having hit his wounded cheek upon collision with the wood floor. Jeremy smiled and gave David a hard kick in the ribs, feeling a sense of control when the younger man let out a cry.
“Does that hurt, David?” Jeremy taunted, while David writhed on the floor, breathing shallowly through his nose to refrain from irritating the pain in his ribs. Through the pain, he nodded slowly, knowing that failing to answer would only anger Jeremy farther.
“Good. Now get the fuck up and clean your disgusting blood off of the floor!”
David nodded obediently again, feeling his entire body shake as he tried to lift his weight up from the floor. Jeremy watched him struggle with a look of amusement on his face, and once the younger boy had gotten a solid stance on the floor, he was pushed back to the ground with intense force, cutting his forehead open on the edge of a dresser on his way down.
“And it better be done in the next five minutes.”
Jeremy spat at David’s feet and stormed out of the room, barely hearing the heartbreaking sobs from his boyfriend as he walked through the doorway.
~~~
Slightly over an hour later, David had finished cleaning the blood from the floor as well as vacuuming the back rooms that he had forgotten to do earlier. Jeremy had not come in to check on David since the last incident, clearly forgetting his own threat, and had fallen asleep on the couch with the TV blaring. David carefully walked out of their shared bedroom, and tiptoed into the living room and over to the couch where Jeremy lay asleep.
David debated over whether or not to wake the slumbering man, and finally decided that he would personally prefer to let his boyfriend sleep - perhaps it would give him the night free from Jeremy’s loose fist.
Quietly, David grabbed the fallen fleece blanket from the floor and made sure it lightly hugged Jeremy’s body to keep the man warm, and then bent down to place a light kiss to the older man’s forehead.
“I l-love you, J-Jeremy.”
“Stop stuttering, you disgusting rat. Sleep on the floor tonight, as punishment for even considering leaving me on this itchy couch.” Came Jeremy’s angry response, nearly startling David out of his own skin, and the blond hummed in acknowledgement as he curled up in a ball on the hard, cold wood floor.
“Goodnight, David.”
David was silent for a few minutes, feeling tears well behind his bruised eyes again. He swallowed back a wave of sobs and merely sniffed, shivering as the cold air hit his arms.
“Goodnight, J-Jeremy.”
“Wake the fuck up, David!”
David’s eyes flew open the second Jeremy spat those harsh words, and he instantly uncurled himself from the ball he had formed to keep his own body heat overnight. He nervously looked up at Jeremy and felt a chill run down his spine at the icy glare he received in return.
“I’m gonna make you wish you were never given a chance at life.”
David’s eyes widened with shock, hardly registering the words before he was ripped up from the floor by his hair. “J-Jeremy why-?”
“Shut the fuck up!”
Jeremy threw David’s body against the wall with extreme force, causing the smaller man to yell out in pain. The noise only angered Jeremy more though, and he pulled David back only to slam him against the wall again. “I said to shut the fuck up!”
David gasped quietly, his vision blurry from the force on his skull. Jeremy grabbed the blond’s neck, squeezing his windpipe violently.
“You don’t deserve the breathe the same air as me. You’re disgusting, filthy!” Jeremy spat as David’s body shook within his grasp. He squeezed harder, finding the color receding from David’s face a calm sort of amusement.
“That’s a good way to shut you up, huh? I’ll have to remember this from now on.”
Tears rolled rapidly down David’s face, traveling lower to hit Jeremy’s hands on his neck. The older man scoffed and let David’s neck free, laughing as the blond fell to the floor wracked with painful coughs as he tried to fill his lungs with air. After a few seconds, he managed to regain his breath and he looked up at Jeremy with nothing but innocent confusion in his eyes.
“Wh-what did I d-do?” David questioned quietly, absentmindedly wiping the blood from his forehead as he kept a steady eye on his boyfriend. Jeremy growled at him, grabbing a fistful of his hair and thrusting him upwards.
“You forgot to make me breakfast.”
David’s blood ran cold at the simple statement, causing goosebumps to litter his smooth skin. He looked up at Jeremy sadly, choking back a sob.
“I-I’m so s-sorry. I d-deserve this.”
“Yes you do. You also deserve this,” Jeremy threw David down onto the floor, then kicked him twice in the ribs and once in the face as the boy sobbed in pain. “Now stop that ugly stuttering and go make me some damn food!”
David coughed in response, feeling too much pain in his body to move even the slightest bit. Every heartbeat sent a pulse of pain to all of his sore areas. Carefully, he lifted up his arm and cried out, making Jeremy scoff.
“Do I have to do everything, David?” Following his question, Jeremy grabbed David’s arm, violently pulling the blond to his feet. David leaned into Jeremy’s warm body and let out a dry sob, muttering a light apology into his boyfriend’s neck.
“You see, is that so bad, love?”
David shook his head, savoring the slight reprieve he was being granted. He felt Jeremy’s soft lips press against the wound on his forehead and he smiled, grabbing the older man’s arms.
“I love you David, you just need to learn how to listen. You know that right?”
“Y-Yes. I l-love you too, J-Jeremy.”
Jeremy smiled, petting David’s hair back away from the blood on his face before placing a gentle kiss on the younger man’s lips.
“I think I’m craving some eggs, how about you, David?”
David nodded gently, staggering as he tried to keep his balance and limit his pain. “I t-think that sounds w-wonderful.”
