What happens in therapy?

In your initial session, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with either Chantelle or a member of her expert team at AISSM. During this foundational meeting, we aim to understand your unique context by discussing a range of topics. These may include your physical health, family and childhood beliefs about gender and sexuality, as well as your current and past relationships.

Openness and honesty are key to a successful therapeutic experience. Rest assured, all conversations within the AISSM setting are confidential and conducted in a judgment-free zone. At the conclusion of your initial appointment, tailored homework and exercises may be assigned. These are designed to help you make progress in areas discussed during therapy and to deepen your understanding and awareness outside of our sessions.
