Ask Dee!
The Community Foundation of Howard County invites you to Ask Dee!, a monthly, informal opportunity to connect with Dee Athey, Director of Grants and Community Engagement.
Held virtually via Zoom, Ask Dee! is a casual Q&A session open to anyone in the community who wants to learn more about CFHC’s grants and grantmaking. Grab a coffee, tea, or your favorite end-of-day drink and join Dee to chat in a relaxed, informal setting.

Designed for donors, families, professional advisors, business leaders, nonprofit partners, and anyone interested in learning how to maximize and leverage their giving through CFHC.
This interactive monthly series explores real-world giving scenarios and learn how CFHC fund options and philanthropic tools can strengthen strategic charitable giving. Each session takes a “hands-on learning” approach to topics such as donor-advised funds, legacy planning, collaborative giving, nonprofit partnerships, and tax-smart philanthropy, helping participants experiment, ask questions, and discover the approaches that best fit their goals.

Mornings with Melissa
Nonprofit leaders and CFHC stakeholders are invited to join us on the last Wednesday of each month from 8:30–9:30 a.m. for Mornings with Melissa, a relaxed monthly coffee conversation. Recognizing the need for more opportunities for connection and collaboration, we’re creating this informal hour to bring community leaders together. Join Melissa Curtin and the CFHC team to network, discuss current challenges, share ideas, and explore opportunities to work together in the service of our community.
Space is limited, so please RSVP to reserve your spot for this coffee social.
If you like, budget an extra 30 minutes after for an optional tour of our beautiful home at historic Athol Manor.

Our Annual Dinner and Celebration of Philanthropy is always an inspiring evening featuring great food, fellowship and philanthropy.
