Building Resilient Systems Towards Cervical Cancer Elimination is a three-part webinar series that provides a pan–North American perspective on progress, challenges, and opportunities in achieving the World Health Organization’s global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer. Across the series, experts from Canada and the United States will explore each of the three pillars of elimination—treatment, screening, and HPV vaccination—highlighting evidence-based approaches, policy and program innovations, and strategies to advance equitable access to care.
The series begins with a focus on elimination as a priority strategy and then the first pillar, treatment and care, emphasizing pathways to early detection, timely diagnosis, and effective, patient-centered treatment, as well as the importance of community trust and palliative care models. The second webinar turns to screening, examining advances in HPV-based screening, the integration of self-collection, and approaches to reaching underserved populations and ensuring appropriate follow-up. The final webinar centers on HPV vaccination, showcasing regional progress, strategies to improve coverage beyond school-based delivery, and tools for monitoring and sustaining success.
Together, these webinars offer a comprehensive, systems-level view of cervical cancer elimination, underscoring the importance of coordinated, equitable, and resilient health systems to achieve lasting impact.
