Real Training. Real Confidence. Real Alberta.
We started training in 2013 with one belief: that people deserve to leave a safety course actually feeling safe — not just certified on paper.
That still drives everything we do. From our training centres in Calgary (NE and SE) and Edmonton, we offer hands-on certification in Fall Protection, Forklift, Confined Space, Scissor and Boom Lift, Overhead Crane and Rigging, H2S Alive, and First Aid & CPR — all fully compliant with Alberta OHS and CSA standards.
Fall Protection certificates are valid for three years in Alberta and can be extended to meet WorkSafe BC and Ontario Working at Heights approval, so your certification travels with you. Every course is built around the real equipment and real conditions you’ll encounter in construction, oil and gas, warehousing, and industrial work — because that’s who we train.
We’ve never once cancelled a class to save money. We’ve never passed someone who wasn’t ready. And if you don’t pass, we bring you back for free — because a certificate only means something if the knowledge behind it is solid.
Come in nervous. Leave confident. That’s the Certified Safety Training promise.

Fall Protection certificates are valid for three years in Alberta under OHS legislation. After three years, workers must complete a recertification course to remain compliant. Certified Safety Training offers Fall Protection recertification in Calgary and Edmonton, typically completed in a single half-day session. We also offer add-ons that extend your certification to meet WorkSafe BC and Ontario Working at Heights standards — useful if your work takes you across provincial lines.
Yes. Alberta OHS legislation requires that all forklift operators be trained and competent before operating powered industrial trucks in the workplace. Employers are legally responsible for ensuring their workers are certified. An untrained operator isn't just a liability — it's an OHS violation. Our Forklift certification courses in Calgary and Edmonton meet all provincial requirements and are recognized by employers across the construction, warehousing, and industrial sectors.
In many cases, yes. Several of our courses — including Fall Protection, Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, and Confined Space — run as single-day courses and can be completed start-to-finish in one session. If a seat is available in a course running today or tomorrow, you can register and walk out certified the same day. Check our current Calgary schedule for available dates, or call us at 403-407-0782 and we'll find the fastest option for you.
Blended training splits the course into two parts: you complete the theory and knowledge components online at your own pace before the course date, then attend an in-person practical session to demonstrate hands-on competency. Fully in-person courses cover both theory and practical on-site in a single session. Blended courses are $10 less and work well for people who prefer to study at their own pace. Both formats result in the same OHS-recognized certification — the difference is how you get there.
Alberta OHS regulations apply across virtually all industries where workers face hazards. Safety training is most commonly required in construction, oil and gas, pipeline, utilities, warehousing and logistics, manufacturing, municipal services, and property management. If your workers operate equipment, work at heights, enter confined spaces, or handle hazardous materials, certification isn't optional — it's a legal requirement. We regularly train workers from some of Alberta's largest employers across all of these sectors.
Yes. We offer business accounts with direct certificate access, net-30 billing, and volume-based training rebates — making it easy for HR teams and safety managers to book and track employee certifications. Whether you need to certify 5 workers or 500, we can accommodate group bookings at our Calgary and Edmonton training centres or discuss on-site training options for larger teams. Most of our certifications meet Alberta OHS and CSA standards and are recognized by employers throughout Alberta and across Canada. For Fall Protection specifically, we offer optional add-ons that make your certificate compliant with WorkSafe BC standards and Ontario's Working at Heights program — so if your work takes you to BC or Ontario, you're covered without needing to recertify. If you have a specific provincial requirement, call us and we'll confirm what's included.
We'll bring you back for free. Every course at Certified Safety Training comes with a pass guarantee — if you don't successfully complete the assessment, you can retake the course at no additional cost. We also never cancel courses to consolidate numbers, so you won't show up to find your class has been rescheduled. We've built our reputation on courses that actually run and certifications that actually mean something.
Yes, many certifications meet CSA and OHS standards and can be extended or recognized across provinces, including programs aligned with Energy Safety Canada and WorkSafe requirements.
The right safety course Calgary workers should choose depends on their industry. For example, construction workers may need fall protection, while oil and gas workers often require H2S Alive or Energy Safety Canada certifications.
