What an exciting time for RNA! Not long ago, small RNAs were taking the scientific world by storm, demonstrating that our long-held beliefs about gene expression were incomplete and providing us with new experimental approaches. Today, new breakthroughs continue to redefine the scientific landscape. RNA-guided genome editing allows us to modify genes at their endogenous loci, and sequencing technologies allow us to assess gene expression at remarkable scales, large and small. As a result, we are beginning to understand biology like never before. Please join us for a meeting focused on how functional RNAs impact gene expression. Topics will include emerging technologies, new insights into small RNA formation and function, regulation of gene expression by long noncoding RNAs, genome regulation, genome editing, and more. Our aim is to bring together researchers with broad interests in RNA biology and its impact on gene expression to share their current research efforts, foster collaborations, and stimulate ideas for future avenues of research.
