Our Edge
GPS/LPS Machine Control Grading That No Other Local Contractor Runs
Most dirt contractors in the Tulsa area grade by eye or laser level. We grade by satellite — and by laser when satellite signal isn’t available. Our Topcon 3D machine control system uses both GPS (satellite positioning) and LPS (Local Positioning System) to read a digital terrain model loaded directly onto the dozer. The blade adjusts automatically to match the engineered design surface. GPS handles open-sky conditions; LPS takes over near buildings, under tree canopy, or anywhere satellite signal is blocked. The result is quarter-inch accuracy on every pass, in every condition, with less material waste and faster project completion.
We also build our own terrain models in Carlson Civil. If your engineer sends a design change in the middle of a job, we don’t wait two days for a revised file. We adjust the model on-site, reload the machine, and keep working. That saves you time and money that other contractors can’t match.
