Moot Court Hall
Moot Court is a pedagogical method in legal education that requires students to analyze and argue both sides of a hypothetical legal issue using procedures modeled on those followed in High Courts. It enables students to critically examine legal issues while imparting practical knowledge of litigation. Law students are presented with detailed hypothetical scenarios in which one or more legal issues arise in a realistic context, often drawn from actual trial and appellate cases decided by the Hon’ble Supreme Court and Hon’ble High Courts.
The College provides robust infrastructure to support effective Moot Court training. A well- equipped Moot Court Hall designed on the model of actual courtrooms is available, featuring a judge’s dais, witness box, advocates’ seating, and public gallery to simulate real courtroom proceedings.
Moot Courts are regularly organized by the College, encouraging active student participation and familiarizing them with courtroom decorum, procedural rules, and professional advocacy skills. The combination of experiential learning and strong infrastructural support ensures that students gain practical exposure aligned with contemporary legal practice.
