Feed cost is one of the major input costs to get milk or meat in cow or buffalo farming. One has to understand nutrient requirement of cows and buffaloes to optimize their nutrient intake and better milk production. We made an attempt to bring important nutrient requirements of crossbred cows and buffaloes in India in this app to calculate what are fed. This compares with what is supplied to requirement. This app provides an advantage of storing the results for your future reference and to share it with your farm veterinarians for his/her inputs. Limited expert advice options are available for app users.
If you make your own concentrate mix from any feed mill then you can use the first step to understand the nutrients in the compound cattle feed mix. Then you add whatever concentrate fed extra and roughages. All values are combined together to provide an output as ration summary. The last page gives you the list of nutrients required and supplied. Negative differences are shown in red font and positive differences are shown in green. You can go back and adjust accordingly.
