Catalyst welcomes proposals for special sections of issues for publication after March 2027. We note some of the key protocols:

• Themed sections and issues in most cases should include an open CFP, and may not be limited to selected participants only.
• A journal board member selected by the editorial board will be assigned to each special issue and section accepted for consideration. 
• All essays submitted, including those submitted with special themed sections, must pass through peer review before acceptance (based on section policies). Acceptance of a special themed section does not guarantee acceptance of articles proposed for it.
