Isolate the Pathogen, Not the Patient

The Carecube allows healthcare providers everywhere to convert a standard hospital bed into an isolation bed—rapidly (in as few as 10 minutes), affordably, and effectively.

Instead of patients waiting alone behind closed doors, separated from loved ones, and receiving less frequent visits from doctors and nurses due to PPE constraints, the Carecube isolates the pathogen, allowing for exceptional, safe, and compassionate care in any setting, from rural healthcare facilities to major health systems and anywhere around the globe.

The Carecube exceeds the CDC standard for Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms and has received FDA 510(k) clearance.

Developed by Experts to Save Lives

The Carecube was initially funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and further supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). It was developed in collaboration with frontline nurses, doctors, and emergency responders in a diverse set of hospitals and care settings across the United States, and in partnership with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, a worldwide leader in infectious disease response.

“We started Carecubes to solve a long-standing failure in healthcare: the idea that we must choose between protecting providers and delivering quality care to patients. We’re proving that it’s possible to do both—safely, compassionately, and at scale.” – Alex Laskey
