👉Funny how much darker the early mornings are here in Spain👈

Woke up early this morning at the remote camp spot I found up 8km’s of dirt track. After a quick vehicle check I set off towards Seville and the airport. It felt more like driving through an African game park as the sun came up and the wildlife came out. I even had a family of wild pigs run out in front of the van! 🐷

👉OMG…. It is absolutely boiling hot! 🥵👈

Moved inland back towards Seville thinking I could handle the extra heat away from the sea breeze. Took a dirt track then had to pull over and set up camp because it is just too hot to be driving around. Just filled the freezer full of beers and going to take a nap. The weather forecast says it is going to drop 10*c once the sun goes down so looking forward to that!

How the hell do you Vanlife folks travel with dogs when it gets over 35*C? It must be a bloody nightmare!

The video editing is chomping through the van power so it is time to deploy the fold out Solar blanket too. Pretty sure we read somewhere it is only a couple of degrees difference between here and the UK just now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣…. Keeping the beers cold in the compressor fridge is hammering it also 💪

This camp spot is filling up with Spanish families enjoying this perfect spring weather in the vans they own. ‘Let’s be honest’ this is what vans are for right? Vans don’t like being parked up in a car part outside of work or a prison block. They are like their owners and like to get way from the standard 9.5 most of the year!

Right, back to it, then a dip in the ocean to cool down a little ☀️

👉A repack and a few odd jobs for The Vanagwan👈

Getting ready for another big trip and getting round to a couple of small jobs that make things less hassle. The two main jobs were to have some actual fixing points on the rack for the hanging auxiliary folding solar blanket. Before I just used to throw it over the rack but it would often slip off in the wind. Now it will stay where I left it! The other job was to have a permanent hanging place for the FrontRunner cutlery set. Before it would hang off the top of the side door but I had to take it off every time the door was closed. Now it can just stay where it is no matter if the door gets closed or not. Just a small thing but one less thing to mess around with while camping.

I really love this simple set up, especially in the warmer months when it stays much lighter in the evenings.

What many people don’t realise is that our yellow adventure camper, The Vanagwan, is actually only 2WD.
