(Just an opinion against war)
Do not ever thirst for war, friends
Do not seek the ‘reversal’ of world maps
Substitute distaste for tolerance
and replace loathing with empathy
Spare a thought about the land destroyed by war
The heavenly landscape turned into a desert
Look at how the defeated are treated,
Women dishonoured and children slighted
The vanquished will tell you
that they do not seek glory anymore,
their half-dead spirits
only want to be left in peace
Your eyes that closed in a prayer for your country’s victory
would then brim with tears for your enemy
and you will become one of them
All of the civilised humanity united
against the enemy called war

I’d recently read about an Asian country affected by war. The tale of survivors were so moving..Even those who took part valiantly now say that they do not want conflict and that they had lost so much…thank you so much for the comment..
i so agree with your words! sadly the arms dealers always confirm that one war or the other goes on so they can sell their merchandise .

You’re welcome. I really meant it, I have never understood, Padmini, I have never understood cruelty and the disregard for human life – any life anywhere – I cry sometimes it hurts so bad to see people hurt/kill each other, always for no good reason!.
I wrote this after reading about an Asian Country that was recently torn by strife..the war is over now…but the repercussions are still felt..I agree with you about the disregard for life..
sigh…I never stop hoping, one must hope and believe and encourage, but it is difficult some days isn’t it dear friend!
