CAITLIN BUCHELExecutive Director
Caitlin Buchel, RSLP, MClSc, SLP(C) is the Executive Director of Communication Access to Justice (CAJust). For years, Caitlin has delivered Communication Intermediary (CI) training across Canada. She works to raise awareness about equitable access to justice in Canada, and acts as a CI as part of her private SLP Practice.

Stacey McRuer is the Program Coordinator for Manitoba’s Communication Devices Program, specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication since 2009. An experienced Occupational Therapist, she combines clinical expertise in rehabilitation and chronic care with a commitment to teaching at the University of Manitoba.

Laurel Robinson is a Speech-Language Pathologist, working in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in Toronto, Ontario. She is on the board of the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) Canadian Executive and the planning committee of the Breaking the Ice Conference.

Ashley Rees is a Winnipeg-based lawyer passionate about disability advocacy. With a background in criminal law, they look forward to seeing increased use of CIs in courtrooms across the country. Ashley currently works in the area of public legal education at the Community Legal Education Association.
