Camp Thrive
Launched in 2024, Camp Thrive Las Vegas brings together child survivors of sexual abuse, ages 10-14, in a traditional camp setting. Held at the 4-H Camp & Learning Center in Alamo, Nevada, this 3-day summer camp experience includes group therapy sessions with individual sessions provided as needed, arts and crafts, team-building activities, ropes courses, hiking, and much more. The goal of this summer camp is to encourage healing and help survivors understand that they are not alone. Due to the generous support of our funders and donors, Camp Thrive Las Vegas is free of charge.
At Camp Thrive Las Vegas, a variety of activities to challenge participants will be utilized to achieve the following objectives:
Community Closet & Food Pantry
Established in November 2020, the CACF’s Community Closet and Food Pantry program was created to address the immediate needs of child abuse victims and their families.
Conveniently located onsite, the Closet offers a comprehensive array of essential items to help families in distress, particularly those without access to transportation, for whom securing basic necessities can be challenging and stressful. This program aims to alleviate the burden on families seeking safety and healing in the aftermath of a disclosure of abuse.
The Closet supplies non-perishable food, hygiene, household cleaning items, arts and craft kits, toys, blankets, journals, and door alarms for situations where the suspected perpetrator still resides within the home. Additionally, the Closet fulfills special requests, for gas and grocery store gift cards, shoes, and other clothing. Given current inflation, demand for the types of items provided through the Closet have been on the rise. A total of 1,111 individuals, totaling 254 families and 90 sex-trafficked youth were served through the Closet in 2025.
IT ONLY COSTS AN ESTIMATED $25.00 A DAY TO FEED A FAMILY OF 4.

VEGAS HEALS
The CACF created the Vegas Heals program to ensure that disadvantaged children and families who can’t afford them had access to critical mental health services. Vegas Heals ensures that child abuse and neglect victims receive the continuum of care necessary to heal from their trauma. The goal of Vegas Heals is to improve overall outcomes by not only treating the child but treating and strengthening the entire family unit.
Many of the families we serve lack the resources needed to support their recovery, and monetary stress is the last thing a family should be concerned about during a crisis of abuse. When a disclosure is made, the entire family unit is affected — siblings who witnessed the abuse or neglect, the non-offending parent who needs support to maintain a safe environment going forward, and other primary caretakers who need psychoeducation to help support the child victim.
Vegas Heal funds individual therapy and victim and non-offending parent group sessions free of charge. Since its launch in March 2021, Vegas Heals has provided over 2,913 hours of mental health care to approximately 443 individuals (primary victims, siblings, and non-offending parents).
IT ONLY COSTS $100.00 TO PROVIDE ONE-HOUR OF FREE MENTAL HEALTH CARE.
