CA Secure Socket Adapter

CA Secure Socket Adapter (SSA) by CA, Inc. is a security component designed to add SSL/TLS protection and certificate-based authentication to host and mainframe TCP/IP applications without requiring code changes. Operating as a transparent proxy or listener, it terminates or initiates encrypted sessions for inbound and outbound connections, helping secure traffic for common services (such as TN3270, Telnet, FTP, SMTP, and HTTP) as well as custom socket applications. SSA centralizes policy enforcement, simplifies certificate management, and enhances compliance and auditing across critical systems.
