BVE Trainsim (often called BVE) is a free Windows-based train-driving simulator created by the developer mackoy. It emphasizes realistic cab-view operation, modeling train physics, braking and acceleration, gradients, signal behavior, and safety systems such as ATS/ATC. The experience focuses on following timetables, observing speed limits and signals, and handling trains smoothly rather than arcade-style action. BVE supports community-made routes and rolling stock through straightforward, text-based route and object formats, and it can be extended with plug-ins for custom systems and sounds. Its efficient graphics engine delivers immersive lineside scenery and signaling with a focus on operational authenticity. BVE is freeware and remains popular among rail enthusiasts and simulation fans who value realism. Note: openBVE is a separate, open-source project inspired by BVE and maintained by a different team.
BVE is developed by mackoy and is used by 10 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.0, 2.1 and 9.0. The names of program executable files are BVE.exe, ICReinstall_openbve.exe, OpenBve.exe, OpenBveAnyCpu.exe and _461d43f4.exe.
