Future Skills Strategy

Wales needs 25,000 green jobs by 2050, including planners, project managers and engineers to name just a few of the roles which need filling.

In fact, up to 2,000 of these jobs will be supported by our wind energy projects alone! But who will build, operate and deliver the projects when there is such a skills shortage here in Wales?

The good news is – we believe we can be part of the solution to this big challenge. Bad news is – we don’t have much time to do it.

Our Future Skills Strategy looks to build a pipeline of talent to feed into the renewable energy industry to strengthen the supply chain in Wales.

From education in the classroom and helping more young women and girls to study STEM subjects, to paid internships and collaboration with the higher education sector – our work has already begun.  We will inspire alongside bold and innovative partners organisations from across different sectors, and promise to deliver Social Value to local communities.

Join us and discover the opportunities ahead – let’s complete the puzzle together.
