2026 Subscriptions.

Slide 1

Burrow Press exists because of adventurous readers like you. Subscribers directly support our publishing program, allowing us to take more artistic risks and provide a home for work that might otherwise be overlooked by “the big 5” corporate publishers. Subscribers receive all our 2026 books (see above) & other perks. Ready? Select an option below. Questions? Scroll down to our FAQ.

This year’s subscription drive is a little more ambitious. Due to federal budget cuts, a grant we expected was defunded, and we’re at a $6,000 shortfall. Now more than ever, your Subscription makes a giant difference!

FAQ

What comes with a 2026 subscription?

• SPRING :: We Are All But Fumbling Creatures :: Chad B. Anderson + Jeffrey D. Guinn
A roaming journey through Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley across time, entwining prose and mixed media artworks inspired by the Southern Gothic tradition to explore the tangled impacts of history, geography, identity, trauma, the natural world, and the ghosts—in all their forms—that haunt us, no matter who or when we are.
• SUMMER :: The Mother Game :: Luca Molnar + Kat Shannon
Focused on the expansive concept of mothering from a personal, collective, and political perspective, the visuals and text in The Mother Game play with existing and invented game structures to examine notions of maternity.
• FALL :: Gilded Revival :: Jennine Capó Crucet + Crystal Pearl Molinary
A gold-plated collaboration between two of Miami’s devoted daughters, Gilded Revival explores the act of adornment as a form of baptism and renewal; as protection; as protest; as self-designed spirituality manifest. It invites readers to open that one drawer of your mami’s vanity, pull out the tangle of collares, and work through all those knots in an attempt to figure out what’s worth keeping, what might still be salvageable, and what—despite all its shimmer and show—always belonged in the trash.

How do I gift a single subscription?

1. Select any subscription option from above.
2. On the checkout page, write THIS IS A GIFT in the “order notes” box and include the following info:
>> giftee’s email address
>> optional – gift message
>> optional – day/time to send the gift notice email (when timing is crucial for holidays or birthdays, for example)
3. Enter the giftee’s shipping information in the shipping fields. (If you don’t know the giftee’s shipping address, mention this in the “order notes” and leave the “ship to a different address” box unchecked. We’ll reach out to the giftee to collect the address.

How do I gift multiple subscriptions?

1. Select any variation of subscription options from above.
2. On the checkout page, write THIS IS A GIFT in the “order notes” box and include the following info for each subscription:
>> subscription type
>> giftee’s name, email, shipping address
>> optional gift message
>> optional day/time to send the gift notice email
3. Don’t include a shipping address by leaving that checkbox unmarked.

EXAMPLE:
THIS IS A GIFT // $60 one-time subscription // John Doe // [email protected] // 123 Street St, City, ST, 10001 // Message: Enjoy these books nerd! Love, Mom // Timing: please send the email on 12/24/25 at 6:00am EST

Can I subscribe to 2026 throughout the year?

Yes, you can subscribe to our 2026 books year-round. If any books have already been released when you make your purchase, we’ll bundle those for you and ship them a day or two after your purchase.

How does auto-renewal work?

If you choose an “annual” subscription option, you will pay for a 2026 Subscription at checkout, and then be automatically billed the same amount each year on January 1st. If you’re making this purchase in 2025, you’ll see a different renewal date. This is so you don’t get double charged on the 1st of the new year. We will adjust the renewal date to January 1st after the new year to avoid double-charging.

How do you communicate with subscribers?

We communicate with subscribers via email using Mailchimp, so make sure the email address you list at checkout is one that you check (or email [email protected] to update it). We only send you an email when it’s important – for instance, when we’re about to ship a new book, or if there is a special Subscriber deal or event. We do not add you to our regular email newsletter, and we do not share or sell your info.

What do you mean by “acknowledgement in print and online”?

As way of honoring Subscribers, we publish their names in the back matter of each book, as well as on our About page. If you’d like to be recognized by a name other than the one you used to place the order, note this in the “company name” field on the checkout page when you make your purchase. If you want to update this info, email [email protected]. NOTE: if you purchase a Subscription late in the year, we will likely be unable to add your name to the print books.

How do I manage my recurring subscription / update my billing info?

If your subscription is set to auto-renew, you don’t have to manage anything. However, you will be given log-in credentials should you want to change billing information, etc. Click here to manage your account, or click the account icon in the navigation menu. If you have issues or would like us to make changes on your behalf, don’t hesitate to contact us (see below). Please note: you are able to update your shipping info in your account profile, but please also email [email protected] if you do this, as we keep a separate database we use for shipping.

Address Changes & Customer Service.

In addition to address changes, etc, if you have any questions about being a Subscriber or need technical help, contact [email protected].

Why are subscriptions important to Burrow Press?

To follow a specific publishing house, just as you might follow a record label, requires a certain level of trust. Trust that you’re going to like what we publish, even if our tastes are eclectic and unpredictable. Which they are. And even if our tastes challenge your own. Which they might. Subscribers directly contribute to helping us build a lasting body of literature and foster literary community in Florida. Subscriptions help us pay our authors more, and give us the financial freedom to take artistic risks in the work we publish. Since 2010 we’ve provided over 1,700 opportunities for writers to publish and share their work, but we can’t keep doing it without your help.
