Obama to host Ramadan meal

President Obama will host an iftar — the special evening meal observed during Ramadan — on Friday night in the White House dining room.
And when was the last time you had a bunch of Christians over??
Celebrations like iftar dinners “remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings,” Obama wrote in a statement Wednesday. Yes, and don’t forget to mention the Clock over in Mecca–Mecca time..we are moving to Mecca time when Mr. Prez?

That’s what we want.” Another video called “Anti-Zionism” is allegedly by this same man. The Washington Times reported some Islamic groups that would not take part in this day, including The Islamic Society of America (ISNA) and the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Obama tapped Muslim for top job at federal DHS
September 17, 2009 — bunkervilleThe Obama administration has tapped Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Arif Alikhan for a top job at the federal Department of Homeland Security. KPCC’s Frank Stoltze says Alikhan immediately becomes one of the administration’s highest-profile Muslims.
While this action occurred some time ago, Bunkerville will be revisting the incredulous appointments that early on passed under the radar. With new concerns regarding the many czars, lets take time to review them all. Most chilling was Janet Napolitano’s high regard for this individual as quoted later in the article. One wonders where these candiates are coming from and who is vetting them.

Frank Stoltze:Arif Alikhan downplays his Sunni Muslim roots
During his years in Los Angeles, Alikhan was responsible for derailing the Police Department’s plan to monitor activities within the Los Angeles Muslim community, where numerous radical mosques and madrassas existed, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers had received support from local residents.
Strongly anti-Israel, Alikhan has referred to the terrorist organization Hezbollah as a “liberation movement.” An affiliate of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Alikhan opposed President George W. Bush’s prosecution of the war on Islamic terror.

Why Alikhan? DHS SecretaryJanet Napolitano noted Alikhan’s “broad and impressive array of experience in national security, emergency preparedness and counterterrorism.” I am not sure what she is talking about (neither is she, I am sure.)
How does an obscure bureaucrat a and devout Muslim come to the position of Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles – in charge of public safety for the city? And now Assistant Secretary to DHS?

Secretary Clinton’s schedule is absolutely packed today, but she’ll conclude the day with something delicious and spiritual, the State Department’s iftar dinner to celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, the subject of a recent FP photo essay. With her busy day, though, I doubt she’ll be fasting. (At left, Clinton attends a dinner in Brussels on March 4, when she was there to discuss Afghanistan strategy with allies.)Someone else who has been feasting lately is Clinton’s husband Bill, who ate lunch with President Obama while he was in New York yesterday to give a speech to the city’s financial sector. The two ate at Il Mulino, a restaurant featuring dishes from Italy’s Abruzzo region.
