Zero Hedge: DOGE Investigating Feds Whose Net Worths Have Exploded After Samantha Power Bombshell

According to various reports, Power’s sources of income have varied over the years. After serving as UN Ambassador, she reportedly made $471,000 per year as a Harvard professor, and made $351,000 from speaking engagements with major firmst such as Nestle, Google and UBS, along with $1 million in book royalties.

Most notably, however, was an $11.73 million gain in her investment holdings.

If we had to venture a guess, DOGE’s access to information from the Treasury, USAID, and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), run through Palantir’s intelligence apparatus (including AI), will quickly unravel graft hidden through multiple layers of organizational fog.

Journalists have been among those affected: according to Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the aid freeze appears to have put a hold on $268 million that was earmarked to fund “independent media and the free flow of information” this year. In the recent past, USAID had boasted of supporting more than six thousand journalists, around seven hundred independent newsrooms, and nearly three hundred media-focused civil society groups in thirty or so countries—and yet, RSF notes, the full impact of the freeze is hard to measure, since many recipients are “hesitant to draw attention for fear of coming under political attacks.

Romania. “X” was running hot on the story that now that USAID had been shut down, the country might just have a fair election. Russia Russia Russia may not be the bad guy after all it turns out, but rather Blinken and company. Hot Air ran the headline:

A pernicious political crisis was ignited in Romania by the Biden administration in early December when Secretary of State Antony Blinken insisted “large-scale and well-funded” Russian interference was to blame for the unexpected victory of a distinctly Trump-like presidential candidate, Călin Georgescu, in the first round of Romania’s presidential election. (READ MORE: Romania’s Trump Explained: Rejecting ‘Forever Wars’ and Woke Politics)

In a bewildering act of slavish fealty, Bucharest promptly canceled the election’s final round, scheduled for Dec. 8, already underway in polling stations worldwide — despite assurance from the national authority overseeing cybersecurity that the election’s first round was clean.

It was an unprecedented and patently undemocratic move, affirmed by an unpopular incumbent, President Klaus Iohannis, who supported the decision with “declassified” documents alleging manipulation by a “state actor” via TikTok. (Iohannis has held office since 2014. The Romanian constitution says his mandate can only be extended beyond two five-year terms, by law, in cases of war or disaster.)

NATO’s Goals

What many increasingly link is Romania’s geographic position bordering Ukraine, both north and at the Black Sea, and NATO’s intention to control Romanian politics to maximize its use of the country.

Ominously titled “How Romania is Preparing for Full Scale War Against Russia,” a YouTube video posted on Dec. 22 explains how “Romania might become NATO’s secret weapon” on behalf of Ukraine. Produced by The Military Show with 1.29 million subscribers, it seems to be a reputable source and it’s getting wide circulation in Romania.

The video reports on the country’s major weapons purchases as part of a plan to turn the country into an aerial powerhouse. New missile batteries and mobile command centers will mean 16 missiles can be launched at once. New construction on what will soon be the biggest air base in Europe will support over 10,000 NATO troops and their families on Ukraine’s border.

SHOCK: Treasury Dept has no Record of What they Spend

Now we learn that the Treasury Department has not a clue of what they spend. “The Treasury Department and Elon Musk’s DOGE has agreed that going forward, the Treasury Department will now itemize all of the payments that they make, like where the money’s going to, what entities, to whom”

To be clear, what the @DOGE team and @USTreasury have jointly agreed makes sense is the following:

– Require that all outgoing government payments have a payment categorization code, which is necessary in order to pass financial audits. This is frequently left blank, making audits almost impossible. – All payments must also include a rationale for the payment in the comment field, which is currently left blank. Importantly, we are not yet applying ANY judgment to this rationale, but simply requiring that SOME attempt be made to explain the payment more than NOTHING! – The DO-NOT-PAY list of entities known to be fraudulent or people who are dead or are probable fronts for terrorist organizations or do not match Congressional appropriations must actually be implemented and not ignored. Also, it can currently take up to a year to get on this list, which is far too long. This list should be updated at least weekly, if not daily. The above super obvious and necessary changes are being implemented by existing, long-time career government employees, not anyone from

. It is ridiculous that these changes didn’t exist already! Yesterday, I was told that there are currently over $100B/year of entitlements payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious. When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a rough guess for what percentage of that number is unequivocal and obvious fraud, the consensus in the room was about half, so $50B/year or $1B/week!! This is utterly insane and must be addressed immediately.

Not enough?

Shocked you say? Not yet.

Meanwhile the Democrats are up in arms including a judge that somehow Musk and his Merry band of men are going to take a glance at individual’s information as they check out the “waste fraud and abuse” but wait, we just learned all about that in the earlier clip.

Good luck America. A whole lot of people are having a sleepless night. Let’s see what Musk finds tomorrow.

USAID Used to Fund Mosque Construction

According to the Code of Federal Regulations, “USAID funds may not be used for the acquisition, construction, or rehabilitation of structures to the extent that those structures are used for inherently religious activities.”

In case you are wondering why we need to keep Elon and friends working like little beavers on finding all the weirdness and corruption at USAID, I give you a blast from the past from Bunks Box of Golden moments. 

But to keep him going we must get past the lawfare that has begun against DOGE. The Court is expected to rule today on a case brought by the infamous Lawyer Norm Eisen trying to stop Musk rooting out all the grift and corruption. That at the conclusion of this post.

And what Christian Church have we helped out with funding? We cannot even get the Greek Orthodox Church approved at Ground Zero that was destroyed. No, we got to get the Ground Zero mosque going. And you wonder why Americans are fed up?

While much attention has been focused on questions surrounding the Ground Zero mosque and the appropriateness of the State Department funding Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf’s trip to the Middle East, little attention has been given to the fact that U.S. taxpayer money is funding mosque development around the world.

Just a cursory search of the term “mosque” on the State Department’s list of “projects” reveals 26 examples of federal funds going to fund construction, renovation, and rehabilitation of various mosques abroad. The benefiting countries include Bulgaria, Pakistan, Mali, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Benin, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Egypt, Tunisia, the Maldives, Yemen, Turkmenistan, Tanzania, Uganda, Azerbaijan, Sudan, Serbia and Montenegro.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has also spent millions reconstructing and financing multiple mosques in Cairo and Cyprus, as well as providing computers for imams in Tajikistan and Mali.

Interestingly, however, according to the Code of Federal Regulations, “USAID funds may not be used for the acquisition, construction, or rehabilitation of structures to the extent that those structures are used for inherently religious activities.”

USAID press officer Annette Aulton told TheDC that the code did not apply to the mosque construction and the imam computer projects as they were done for ostensibly secular concerns.

There is no area of human activity USAID has not touched. Let’s try farming.

If you thought that was a stretch back then, it was only getting started in departing from their legal mandate. In January 2021, Joe Biden nominated Samantha Power to head the United States Agency for International Development.

I went through my box of gold on Samantha.. I see my latest was May 2022.

Samantha Power celebrates fertilizer shortages that threaten the food supply and will force farmers to ‘hasten transitions.’

A Biden administration member said that “catastrophic” food and fertilizer shortages caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine are a great opportunity to implement left-wing policies.

Samantha Power, the administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, made the comments during an interview with “This Week” on Sunday.

“We’re seeing global food shortages all around the world,” said anchor George Stephanopoulos, “as the administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, what more can be done to address those shortages?”

Hint: It’s the old “Go Green”

“Fertilizer shortages are real now because Russia is a big exporter of fertilizer. And even though fertilizer is not sanctioned, less fertilizer is coming out of Russia,” Power said. “As a result, we’re working with countries to think about natural solutions like manure and compost. And this may hasten transitions that would have been in the interest of farmers to make eventually anyway.”

She actually said ‘never a let a crisis go to waste’

USAID Supports 6000 Journalists, 700 Newsrooms, 300 ‘Civil Society Groups’ Worldwide.

If one concedes that the intention of USAID is more than former Under Secretary Nuland handing out bread in Ukraine to save the starving, and more a front for the CIA, one will understand the enormity of the following story. We read that Politico, Bill Kristol and soon to be revealed many other media types are on the payroll of USAID. They would prefer to say they are receiving “Grants.” Now, buried in the Columbia Journalism Review, we find that was just the beginning of the revelation.

After a long winded diatribe of the nasty effects that Musk and Trump are unleashing on the world, we find buried in a story written by Jon Allsop. Here it is:

News outlets that have been exiled from Iran and Belarus did tell RSF, under the cover of anonymity, that the freeze has forced them to take drastic measures just to survive, while DataCameroon, an investigative site, said that it had to suspend projects linked to journalist safety and upcoming elections in the country. RSF also noted the harsh effect on journalism in Ukraine, where 90 percent of news organizations rely on USAID funding, some very heavily; writing last week, Olga Rudenko, the editor in chief of the Kyiv Independent (which has received USAID grants in the past but doesn’t currently), claimed that the freeze “has caused harm to independent Ukrainian journalism on par with the COVID-19 pandemic and the onset of Russia’s full-scale war,” and could soon surpass both in severity if not reversed.

There have been reports, too, of concrete effects on journalism from Moldova, Cambodia, and Myanmar; writing in the Indian publication Scroll, Nandita Haksar, the coauthor of a new book on the prominent Burmese newsroom Mizzima, reported that the freeze has plunged that outlet into uncertainty exactly four years on from a brutal coup that forced Myanmar’s independent media into exile or underground. 

USAID’s website has been offline since Saturday, but a surviving post under the agency’s profile on Medium, from around a year ago, is telling of its approach toward funding journalism overseas. The article states that “supporting independent media has been part of USAID’s democracy and governance assistance efforts since the 1980s” and that the US government “is now the largest public donor to independent media development globally,” above a graphic featuring a quote from President Biden describing press freedom as “the bedrock of democracy” and an outline of recent initiatives aimed not only at steering grants to journalists around the world, but also at helping them sustain themselves commercially and defending them against nuisance lawsuits.

By now you have the drift. The closing paragraph sums up this dirty business:

Ultimately, much of the work that USAID and other donors have supported would simply cease without it, in countries where commercial revenue streams for journalism are restricted by war, authoritarianism, or simple market forces.

Well worth reading the whole thing here.

Now the deep state responds. Rallies are being organized, and soon we shall see demonstrations everywhere. For USAID is the biggest rock to be turned over, and Musk will find all the bodies literally that have been buried. It must be stopped.

TV Keeps Losing Ground – Bye Chuck Todd, Jim Acosta

It would be easy to miss the fact that we just bid adieu to Chucky Todd and Jim Acosta from the tube. Fired as they used to say. As the old guard media continues on its perilous decline into oblivion, let us take the time to mark the event. We read about the declining numbers of eyeballs over at CNN and MSNBC? It turns out that is just the tip of the action.

Zero Hedge fills us in:

Sky News host Rita Panahi discussed News Anchor’s James Acosta leaving CNN and Chuck Todd leaving NBC. Ms Panahi labelled James Acosta as “one of the worst of the fake news machinery”. “A man whose Trump derangement syndrome had him reduced to a blabbering idiot,” she said.

USAID a Front for the CIA and Regime Change

Accused of being involved in regime changes, a front for CIA operatives. It is opined that they took their bag of tricks and turned it inward on Americans, funding NGO’s, and organizations such as the Tides Foundation that took it upon themselves to take out Trump.

Tension started building up over the weekend after the Trump Admin put two top leaders at the US Agency for International Development on leave because they refused to give Elon Musk’s DOGE classified documents.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio took over as Acting Director of USAID after the agency’s staffers were told to leave the headquarters overnight.

Rubio said the USAID is supposed to respond to the State Department’s policies and it was refusing to do so.

“It’s supposed to respond to the State Department’s policies. It refuses to do so. A lot of functions of USAID will continue, but it has to be aligned with our foreign policy,” Rubio told reporters on Monday.

The Democrats aren’t taking it well. Their money laundering operation was shut down by Trump and they’re panicking.

“I know this is going to sound weird but I feel like I haven’t even begun to unload on USAID and how dark it all goes.”

Maybe not. They go way back. Alleged GAO report that USAID FUNDS  are  being diverted to CIA in Laos.

A bipartisan fixture in Washington, Victoria Nuland had a hand in countless US foreign policy catastrophes, from the invasion of Iraq to the 2014 coup in Ukraine. She was—truly—one of the most extreme representations of the endless-warmongering ideology that runs the United States. Good riddance. So opines Glen Greenwald.

An embarassing phone conversation about Ukraine politics between two high profile US diplomats has surfaced online. The audio clip of a woman and man is purportedly between US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt.

The two people are heard discussing strategies to work with the three main opposition figures. She is heard telling him that she doesn’t think boxer-turned-politician Vitaly Klitschko should be in a new government and also saying “f**k the EU.” This episode will be embarassing for the US as President Barack Obama has denied the administration is manipulating the Ukrainian opposition.

Democrat Leadership Election a Total Disaster – David Hogg Elected Vice Chair

Shock over at the DNC as they elect their leadership. David Hogg is now vice chair of the Democrat Party. Ken Martin from Minnesota was named chair, his protege Tim Walz.

Yes unbelievable.

I was 40 min into the strangest SNL sketch I had ever seen before I realized I was watching the
DNC leadership elections.

No, this is not a parody. This is not a comedy sketch or skit. This is not a brutal mockery of the DNC or liberal ideology. No, this is absolutely legit. These people are serious and don’t understand how stupid they look and seem and are.
