1. Event Basics
    1. This is an in-person event at UBC Fred Kaiser Building.
    2. The hackathon consists of a full-day hacking session on March 1
    3. Teams must register in advance to participate
    4. The event is open to all university students, regardless of experience level
    5. Team size: Maximum of 4 members per team.
  2. Core Rules
    1. Project work may only begin at the official start time.
    2. Participants must not work on their project before 10:15 AM on March 1, 2025.
    3. Commit history will be checked to enforce this rule.
    4. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
    5. This includes copying external projects, past work, or submitting AI-generated content without proper modification.
    6. AI tool usage is allowed (duh!)
    7. All teams must submit their project by the deadline.
    8. Submission deadline: 7:30 PM, March 1, 2025.
    9. Teams that miss the deadline will be disqualified.
  3. Judging & Evaluation
    1. Projects will be evaluated based on:
    2. Innovation & Creativity – Novelty of the idea.
    3. Technical Implementation – Code quality, AI integration, and execution.
    4. Impact & Usefulness – Potential real-world applications.
    5. Presentation & Demo – Clarity and effectiveness of the final demo.
    6. Judges may include industry professionals, professors, and AI experts.
    7. The top teams will be selected for final presentations.
  4. Prizes & Logistics Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams based on final judging. Food, snacks, and drinks will be provided throughout the event. Participants are responsible for bringing their own laptops, chargers, and necessary equipment.
  5. Publication & Communication
    1. By participating, attendees agree that photos and videos taken at the event may be used for promotional purposes.
    2. Participants may be asked to provide a brief project summary for publication.
