This hackathon is all about moving fast and shipping. Most events end with half-baked ideas, but we want you to go from idea to a working demo in just 48 hours.
To help you build at lightning speed, we recommend using a powerful stack that takes the heavy lifting off your shoulders.
The Build Stack
We suggest using these tools to get your project live:
- LLM: Use Gemini for deep reasoning and code generation.
- AI Platforms: Prototype quickly in Google AI Studio or scale up with Vertex AI.
- Cloud: Host and deploy your work on Google Cloud Platform.
- IDE: Code seamlessly with Antigravity.
- Design: Bring your interface to life with Stitch.
What to expect
Whether you are just starting out or you have been building for years, this is your chance to:
- Build a project you can actually put on your portfolio.
- Learn by doing, not just watching tutorials.
- Use AI tools to speed up your entire workflow.
- Work solo or in a small team.
This is not about perfection. This is about shipping something people can actually use.
How to get started
- Register on Devpost to secure your spot.
- Join our Discord for updates and live support.
- Form a team or fly solo.
- Start building once the theme is announced.
- Submit your project before the clock runs out.
Pro Tip: Don’t overthink the concept. Start simple, use the recommended tools to save time, and build fast.
Requirements
To help everyone hit the ground running, we’ve broken down what we’re looking for and how you can use our recommended stack to build something impressive in 48 hours.
What to Build
Your goal is to build a functional project that solves a real problem or explores a creative idea using AI. Since we are focusing on a "builder-first" approach, we want to see projects that are:
- Portfolio-Ready: Something you’d be proud to show a recruiter or post on LinkedIn.
- Purpose-Driven: It should solve a specific pain point or create a unique experience.
- Meaningfully Powered by AI: Use AI for more than just a chat interface. Think about agents, automation, or multimodal processing.
Project Examples & Ideas
- AI Agents & Productivity: Build an autonomous research assistant using Gemini and Vertex AI that monitors news and summarizes it into a custom dashboard.
- Smart Web Apps: Create a personalized learning platform that generates quizzes and study paths based on uploaded notes.
- Creative Tools: Use Stitch to design a "vibe-based" music discovery app and use Gemini to match moods to playlists.
- Dev Tools: Build a plugin for Antigravity that automates documentation or refactors code for better performance.
What to Submit
To be eligible for prizes, every team must submit:
- A Working Demo: A live link where we can actually test your project.
- Short Description: A clear explanation of what your project does.
- The Tech Stack: Specifically highlight how you used Google Cloud, Gemini, Vertex AI, or Stitch.
- GitHub Repository: Clean code matters! Show us your work.
- Visuals: Screenshots or a short 1-minute video walk-through.
Pro-Tips for Success
- Use the AI-Native Stack: Don't start from scratch. Use Stitch for your UI and Antigravity as your IDE to let the AI agents handle the boilerplate while you focus on the core logic.
- Focus on the "Nudge": As we discussed, a great product keeps users coming back. Think about how your project can use notifications or smart guides to keep users engaged.
- Build in Public: Share your progress on Discord or LinkedIn! Some of the best ideas come from a quick brainstorm with a mentor or another builder.
