Brynmor is located in Lorton, VA at the redeveloped Liberty Market, Foggy Bottom in Washington, D.C. at the Department of State Annex and Culpeper, VA at the Culpeper Baptist Church. Our centers currently serve children ages six weeks through five years with high-quality early childhood education & preschool. We are a privately owned business established with the belief that private companies have a responsibility to be a force for good. We believe that the growth of our company must be in partnership with the children and families we serve, the early childhood educators and Brynmor team members we employ and the companies and public agencies with whom we partner.

High quality early childhood education is within reach for every child, family and community.
To ensure that: children reach their full potential; parents/guardians are free to do their best work with peace of mind because their children are safe, loved and thriving; and early childhood educators are respected and valued for the critical role they are playing in the development and learning of young children.

For more than 25 years strong neuroscientific evidence has demonstrated that the first five years of life are the most critical developmental period. Cognitive, social and emotional, language and literacy, nutrition and physical development are at their height during this critical time. Yet, as a country, we have not delivered on this promise. Only 7% of child care centers in the United States are NAEYC Accredited and early childhood educators are too often earning poverty level wages and have no access to employer benefits including health insurance and retirement. Brynmor was created to change this story.
Brynmor was founded by Rhian Allvin in 2022. Rhian has spent her career promoting and advocating for the federal, state and local systems and structures that lead to high quality early childhood education for all children and professional careers for early childhood educators. Most recently she served as the CEO at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The team that has been built and continues to expand is fully committed to the ideals of Brynmor.
