As a first-time puppy mum, I can’t thank Bryants Road Vet enough for the incredible care they provided for my little Echo. From the moment we arrived, the whole team made me feel completely comfortable and reassured, despite the many questions I had!

Ann, the vet I spoke with, and Stephanie, the vet nurse, were both amazing. They were kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything clearly and highlight a few important things to keep in mind as Echo grows. Their genuine care for animals truly showed.

We’ve been bringing our family dogs to Bryants Road Veterinary Clinic for years, and the care has always been exceptional. Most recently, they looked after our dog Spike who is quite a nervous little boy, and can be quite reactive at times.

Dr Kerr was so lovely and informative in helping us get back on top of Ed’s health and vaccinations. We’ve always worried about his vet visits previously as he’s always been extremely stressed in vet environments but he calmed down in her hands so quickly! Definitely will be taking him back here for all future vet visits!

Lisa Dry

We were thrilled with the service and care provided to our Millie. We had been on holidays and she had been seen by Emergency Vet on Sunday. She deteriorated over night on Monday and was seen by Vet first thing Tuesday. At all times we were well informed and provided with updates throughout the day. Thank you Dr Brooke for your professionalism and genuine care for our gorgeous fur baby. Can’t recommend Bryants Rd Vets highly enough

I have always felt comfortable here as my dog feels welcomed and happy. I feel that Caroline and her staff do a wonderful job. One time I rang up for an emergency and they took Kylo straight away and offered help through the afternoon and they followed up with a call the next day and asked if they needed to call back the following day. I am also happy with the Cheryl the receptionist as she always has a smile and friendly face. Thank you all for your service.

FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our clinic and your pet’s visits below.

How often should my pet have a health check?

Most dogs and cats thrive with a yearly health check. Some pets, especially as they get older or if they have health challenges, may need to visit the vet more often. These regular visits let us catch changes early and keep your pet feeling their best. We want these checkups to feel like a gentle part of caring for your family, not just another task on your list.

What happens during a routine veterinary consultation?

At a regular vet visit, we check your pet from nose to tail and chat with you about their behaviour, habits, and anything that feels different. If something needs a closer look, we’ll talk it through together and recommend what your pet needs. We want you to feel included and in the loop every step of the way.

When should I bring my pet in for urgent care?

If your pet has trouble breathing, collapses, seems to be in a lot of pain, or can’t pee, reach out to us right away. Sudden changes or worsening symptoms need quick attention. You can find more examples on our Urgent Care page. If you’re ever unsure, we’d rather you call and feel safe than worry at home.

What vaccinations does my pet need and how often?

Vaccinations typically start in early puppy or kittenhood, with an initial course followed by booster vaccines as your pet grows. Once this course is complete, most pets move on to a regular vaccination schedule to maintain protection. During your visit, your vet will walk you through the full timeline so you know exactly what is due and when.

How do I know if my pet is in pain?

Pets show pain in different ways. You might notice they slow down, eat less, hide away, or act grumpy. Some go quiet, while others pull away when touched. If your pet seems off or just not themselves, it’s always worth getting it checked out.

What should I expect when my pet is admitted for surgery?

When your pet comes in for surgery, we admit them, perform a gentle check, and ensure they’re comfortable before any anaesthetic. We perform the procedure here when possible and keep a close eye on them as they recover. If you’d like more details, our Surgery page covers each step.
