Montessori education programming comes to OUSD!

Brookfield Elementary and Urban Montessori Charter School are merging in 2025-2026, bringing a Montessori education program to Oakland Unified in grades TK-5. Families applying to Brookfield can choose either traditional or Montessori programs for their child.

I know this isn’t an easy time for our district as we continue to make difficult decisions about our budget, and many of us are still processing recent tragedy in our city.
