Work to transform Bristol’s transport network, to respond to changes in the way we travel and use public spaces, is gearing up.

We’re working in partnership to make bus travel quicker and more reliable; create safer routes to walk, wheel and cycle; and transform public spaces to support our high streets.

From the way we all access and travel through the city centre and Broadmead to much used transport corridors, including the A4 Portway and the A37 and A4018, Bristol is on the move!

Broadmead

Broadmead lighting, sails structure and food kiosks to be removed ahead of junction transformation

Preparatory work will take place this June on and around Union Street’s junction with The Haymarket and The Horsefair, including removing the Bristol Shopping Quarter sails, to make way for the area to be remodelled.
