Are there any set up costs?
At Brillband, we like to keep things simple especially when it comes to pricing. When you sign up, you’ll be on a 24-month contract at a fixed monthly price. That price is locked in for the full term, so no changes or surprises along the way.
There are no setup fees or engineer charges if one is needed for your installation.
Your first payment will be taken on your go-live date, which is when your service officially starts and that will be your first monthly payment.
What router do I get?
When you sign up, you’ll receive an award-winning eero 7. It delivers reliable coverage for up to 2,000 sq. ft and supports 120+ connected devices. As part of your Brillband package, you’ll receive free intelligent network security with active threat protection. Plus, smart online protection tools such as the ability to group your child’s devices and create WiFi rules.
Do I need an engineer?
In some homes, we’ll need to send an engineer to install an ONT (small box on the wall) to get your Brillband service up and running. If this is required, we’ll let you know during sign-up when you choose your go-live date. Appointments are available in either a morning slot (8am–1pm) or an afternoon slot (1pm–6pm).
Installations usually take between 1–3 hours. Very occasionally it can take a little longer if something unexpected crops up, but that’s rare.
The engineer will recommend the best location for the ONT, though if you have a preferred location, just let them know. A small hole (around 5mm) will be drilled through the wall to bring the cable inside, and it’s carefully sealed and tidied afterwards. Once the ONT is mounted, simply plug in your eero router and voilà, your Brillband service will be ready to go!
What speeds will I receive?
To keep things simple, we offer one ultrafast full-fibre symmetrical 900Mbps speed.
How long will it take to go live?
When you sign up on the Brillband website, you’ll be asked to choose your preferred go-live date. This is usually around 5 days giving us time to get everything ready behind the scenes, including setting things up on the network, sending out your router, and arranging an engineer visit if needed.
