Review: 72151 Eevee

Posted by ,

After a long wait, LEGO Pokémon is finally here! The smallest of the brick-built pocket monsters currently available is 72151 Eevee.

The set has some hidden secrets, with the first being in the set number itself. 151 is the number of entries that appeared in the first generation’s Pokédex, so it is a very fitting way to start the theme. This charming and cheerful creature is well-rendered in brick form, using a plethora of modern pieces to curve and shape its furry form.

77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 Race Car

Speed Champions F1 cars are fundamentally good, but this one has some inaccuracies

75426 Millennium Falcon

Despite its appearance, this Millennium Falcon actually seems quite fun for play

30734 Mini F1 ACADEMY Car

This is a decent model, but other Speed Champions polybags are much better

40507 I Love Billund

An excellent souvenir of a visit to Billund

76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile

Despite lacking a few eccentric details, or Robin, this is an excellent LEGO Batmobile

11389 Project Hail Mary

A satisfying build and clever mechanics, let down slightly by the chunky display stand

Review: 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 Race Car

Last year's Speed Champions range introduced the entire grid from the 2024 Formula 1 season and those teams remained unchanged over the 2025 season. However, the 2026 season features Audi, taking the place of Sauber, which requires another Speed Champions car!

77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 Race Car definitely has the potential to be a bit dull, arriving so soon after the cars launched last year. On the other hand, there were improvements made between the LEGO McLaren F1 cars released in 2024 and 2025, so I hoped for similar here.

Review: 75426 Millennium Falcon

Posted by ,

LEGO SMART Play has received a great deal of criticism since its announcement in January and understandably so. Clearly, these sets look quite messy and I think official communication about the system has been poor, struggling to convey what the SMART Brick actually does.

75426 Millennium Falcon has thus proven to be a pleasant surprise, in some respects. Other renditions of the freighter have certainly looked better, but the interior is spacious and there are abundant play opportunities with the SMART Brick, which makes it ironic that the brick is not actually included.

Please note, this set does not contain a SMART Brick.

Review: 30734 Mini F1 ACADEMY Car

Polybags, or now paper bags in certain regions, have been part of the Speed Champions theme since 2020. Though obviously overshadowed by the minifigure-scale sets, these small cars have been surprisingly fun.

However, I am less convinced by 30734 Mini F1 ACADEMY Car, coming so soon after the similar 30683 McLaren Formula 1 Car. On the other hand, this model includes an extraordinary number of unique pieces for such a tiny car.

Formula 1 helmets revealed!

Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet

Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet

The Formula 1 season begins this weekend and, without any fanfare, LEGO has unveiled models of two Ferrari F1 drivers' helmets at LEGO.com this morning.

43014 Charles Leclerc Helmet and 43022 Lewis Hamilton Helmet, which comprise around 880 pieces each, will be launched on May 1st at a price of £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99. Both come with a display stand and a minifig of the driver which have very funky hairstyles!

Given the gap between the sets' numbers, I think it's fair to assume that more will be revealed in the coming weeks.

View more pictures after the break.

Review: 40507 I Love Billund

Posted by ,

Since the LEGO House opened in 2017 there has been a variety of items that can only be obtained at the Home of the Brick in Billund, including a numbered series of limited edition sets.

This year's release, 40507 I Love Billund, is the seventh in that series and, like the others, was designed by the House's former chief model maker Stuart Harris before being refined for production by a LEGO designer.

I think it's fair to say that it has been inspired by the Architecture Skyline series, combining mini models of significant buildings in Billund together on a display plinth.
