1. Commencement of Development
- No development shall commence prior to the release of challenge questions on 6 June 2024, 7:00pm.
- Any teams that violate this rule shall be disqualified.
2. Software Development Tools
- Any software development tool (including SDKs, plugins, game engine, integrated development environment (IDE), and/or programming language) can be used.
3. Paid Software Assets
- Participants are allowed to use paid software assets (e.g. art, audio), third-party SDKs or APIs, and design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative, Solid Works) if participants are authorised for use in accordance with any terms and conditions or licensing requirement of the tool.
- Participants must list all paid software assets, third-party SDKs or APIs, and design tools used in the project during submission.
4. Licensing
- Source code developed during the hackathon must be open source and licensed under a license listed in the OSI Approved Licenses.
- The chosen license must be clearly stated in the code.
5. Hardware
- Use of any XR hardware is permitted.
- A limited number of the following hardware devices will be provided to participants for development purposes, Microsoft HoloLens, Trimble XR10, Realwear HMT-1, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Apple Vision Pro, Magic Leap, HP Reverb G2, Lenovo ThinkReality VRX
- Participants may use their own hardware if they wish to do so.
6. Public Domain
All ideas generated during the hackathon are considered public domain.
7. Submission
- All projects must be submitted by the designated deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted for judging.
- The deadline for submission is 12 Jun 2024, 12:00pm.
