Welcome to my portfolio! I’m Brad McNew, a Computer Science student at the University of Michigan with a passion for building innovative solutions and leading entrepreneurial projects.

About Me

I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Michigan (Expected May 2027) with experience in full-stack development, AI/ML, and technical consulting. My coursework includes Data Structures & Algorithms, Web Systems, User Interface Development, Database Management Systems, and Startup Sales.

Current Focus

As the founder of Discuno, I’m building a web platform that connects prospective students with verified university mentors. I’ve led the full product lifecycle from ideation to beta launch, acquiring 50+ early users and implementing secure payment processing with Stripe.

I also work as a Technical Consultant at the University of Michigan’s ITS department, where I provide technical support to over 1,000 students and faculty, resolving 150+ tickets per month.

Recent Projects

Embedded AI Chat (Fall 2024)

Developed retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) chatbots for small business websites, using n8n, OpenAI API, and Pinecone to create context-aware customer support solutions.

Axite AI (Winter 2025)

Built a Python-based software agent for robotics that logs live sensor streams and performs sim-to-real differential analysis using Rerun, WebSockets, and AWS.
