By incorporating sustainable, ethical practices into every aspect of our business, we enable our long-term operational success while preserving the environment and enhancing the communities in which we operate. 2024 Sustainability Report
Our 2024 Sustainability Report outlines the efforts and progress we have made in our commitment to environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and responsible corporate citizenship. Â
Our commitment to transparency and accountability is reflected throughout the report, reflected in our alignment with the Sustainability Accounting Standard Board (SASB) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) frameworks. ESG oversight is embedded at both the Board and executive levels, underscoring the importance of leadership in our sustainability efforts. Learn more about our Board and leadership here.Â
Since setting our GHG emissions targets in 2022, Buckeye has remained committed to our pathway to Net Zero. After meeting our interim goal of 50% reduction in net Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 2025 ahead of schedule in 2023, our teams worked throughout 2024 to maintain momentum toward our 2040 net-zero target. We’re proud to report that in 2024, our Scope 1 and 2 net emissions were under 50% of our 2019 baseline—achieving our interim target for the second year in a row .Â
This year, in our commitment to transparency, we engaged our third-party assurer to provide limited assurance on an expanded number of metrics across environmental, social, and governance topics. This affirms the accuracy of our reported data and underscores our dedication to high standards and continuous improvement.Â
Buckeye remains committed to our core business while pursuing new opportunities to support the evolving energy landscape. We are setting forward-looking targets—particularly in carbon reduction—recognizing the critical role our logistics services play in ensuring both energy security and a transition to lower-carbon solutions. Grounded in continuous improvement, Buckeye is focused on operating safely, transparently, and with accountability. As we advance our sustainability program, Buckeye is committed to sharing progress and maintaining our position as the premier provider of infrastructure and logistics for the world’s energy needs.Â
