Kinema Junpō, also known as Kinejun is Japan's oldest and premiere film magazine began publication in July 1919.
It represents one of the oldest and most respected film magazines in the world, and is also known for the fact that it has been awarding an annual film award since 1927, one of the oldest in the history of world cinema.
In 2009, Junpō gathered a bunch of film critics, asked them for their favorite movies to made the top 200 Japanese movies poll, second time and latest time they've done this, first time being in 1999.
For some reason there is 199 movies.
