After watching Lamberto Bava's Demoni 1 and 2 followed by Soavi's La Chiesa (indended as Demoni 3) and La Setta, it is clear that these four films have substantial continuity between them and are worth viewing together, despite an intentional shift in style on Soavi’s part away from shock/nausea-style demon horror.
